Competition in applied types of dog training methods was held on February 25, 2017 at Anteus Dog Training Center located at Mezhyhirya National Park. The competition was conducted for dogs with САСТ rank according to the Ukrainian Kennel Union (UKU) qualification, namely according to the basic set of guard and protection programs “Vidsich” (“response” in Ukrainian).
Dogs were assessed by three programs: escort dog, attack dog (Section A), and civil guard dog. Due to the high level of organization, 53 dogs worked out during one day of the competition.
Judges from the UKU were invited to ensure maximum objectivity of assessment for working qualities of dogs:
Yuriy Badras – the UKU judge for working qualities (ІРО-І-ІІІ; Dog in City; ВН/VT – Companion Dog; Vidsich; Guard Work; General Training Course; Detection Dog Service; Patrol Search Dog), Zhytomyr;
Yuriy Sencha – the UKU judge for working qualities (Vidsich, Guard Work), Chernihiv;
Vitaliy Kryvorot – the UKU judge for working qualities (Vidsich, Guard Work), Bila Tserkva.
Panel of judges was headed by Chairman of the Board of Experts of the UKU for judges and working qualities of dogs – Valeriy Vysotskyi, Kyiv
